Taylor Swift has already played two nights in Paris as she kicks off the final leg of her Eras tour. For many fans and curious Swift-watchers, one question was how the singer-songwriter could include songs from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which she released during a break between tour dates.
in Paris on Thursday night Swift described her new block of songs as “Female rage, the musical” and added seven of them from her new 31-track album, including lead single Fortnight.
Elsewhere, two of her ‘era’ albums – folklore and Forever – were combined and the order of the other eras was reversed. The first night’s mid-show “surprise songs” included (appropriately) Paris, a song by midnight and loml from TTPD.
Will this be the new lineup for the remaining dates? Time – and the remaining nights at the La Défense arena in Paris – will tell, but this is how the show went during the first two nights in Paris.
