A Perth A man fought through a raging domestic inferno to save his two beloved dogs.
He and his mother had fled the fire at their Winthrop home around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when they realized the pets were still inside.

Despite flames engulfing the property on Holland Cl, the man ran back towards the danger, emerging soon after clutching a dog in each hand.
The fire started in the garage and spread in just minutes, sending flames soaring into the sky and destroying a lifetime of memories.
“I’ve never seen anything like this before, it went up so fast,” Winthrop resident Phoebe told 7NEWS.
“Everybody was very gloomy because it was very sad.”
Fire crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.
“Due to the ferocity of the fire, houses on both sides were at risk so the firefighters did a fantastic job to get it under control,” fire investigator Stuart Parks said.
Friends told 7NEWS it was another blow for the family after the mother was run over by a car just four months ago.
“She’s a really lovely lady and she just got out of the hospital,” neighbor Grace said.
“She just wanted to go back and relax in her house and start her life again and then this happened.”
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
