Son Robert Farnham, 44, married Melissa in a beautiful ceremony attended by family and friends.
“I shared the happiest moment with my favorite person in the universe and she said I do. Melissa, my life is forever better when you’re a part of it. You looked radiant, beautiful and elegant. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us and I am truly honored to have you by my side as my wife for life,” Robert wrote.
At the wedding, John looked relaxed with his hands in his pockets as he posed for photos, including one with his wife Gillian.
Late last year, Farnham’s son, Robert, said his father was now “cancer free” and “really happy”.
Speaking to the hosts of Sunrise Nat Barr and Matt Shervington, Robert said his father was getting stronger after major surgery last August.
“He’s doing fantastic,” he said on Sunrise. “Just the other day he was, you know, walking around with his cane and dancing a little bit, which was great.
“He walks his dog a lot so he’s really, really happy.”
The proud son said that his father even started singing again.
“He’s doing really well, he’s super positive,” he added.
“As we’ve said before, cancer is a terrible, terrible thing. And it’s time for him to walk this path, but he’s cancer free.
“And, yes, he’s doing really, really well. So that’s very, very good to hear.
“He’s singing at home again, everything.”
