Allegations of sexual assault on Sydney’s Western and Northern Beaches from 2002 to 2007 first prompted a police investigation in November 2022.
Police arrested the man in Gulgong in central west New South Wales on Wednesday morning.
He was charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault, forced self-indulgence and sexual intercourse – all against a minor – as well as continued sexual abuse of a child.
The man was released on bail at Parramatta Local Court on July 4.
