Teen girl killed, four seriously injured in shocking crash in Wetherill Park in Western Sydney

A P-plate driver has died and four of her passengers have been seriously injured after a horrific crash in western Sydney.
The 18-year-old woman lost control of the car and crashed into a tree on The Horsley Dr in Wetherill Park at around 11.15pm on Thursday.
The driver was killed instantly and her passengers were rushed to Liverpool and Westmead Hospital.

On Friday, Sunrise reporter Liam Tapper was at Wetherill Park covering the incident.
“An 18-year-old female driver with a red P-plate, she was driving on Horsley Drive — it’s a very busy road through Western Sydney — about 11pm last night,” he said.
“She collided with a tree. She now died instantly at the scene, but was driving with four passengers in her car.
“They were all rushed to hospital, both at Westmead Hospital and in Liverpool.”
“The man in the front passenger seat is in a critical condition this morning, and all three in the back of the car have serious injuries.
“P-platers in NSW are only allowed to drive with one person in the car. She had four.
Sixteen people have lost their lives in just 13 days on NSW roads and police are urging drivers to take care.
A crime scene was established as officers from the Fairfield Township Police Command began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
