CCTV shows police pulling man from dumpster after alleged armed robbery

CCTV showed the moment police pulled a man from a bin after tracking him with a police dog following an alleged armed robbery in Western Sydney overnight.

Police say a man entered a premises on the Great Western Expressway in Kingswood and threatened three members of staff with a firearm before making off with cash at around 12.40am today.

Soon after, police stopped a rideshare vehicle and spoke with a male passenger who allegedly fled on foot and began jumping fences on First Avenue.

A man, aged 37, was later found in a bin on Bringelly Lane with the assistance of the dog unit. (nine)

Police allegedly found a firearm and numerous items of clothing after searching the car.

A man, aged 37, was later found in a bin on Bringelly Lane with the help of the canine team.

He was found with the allegedly stolen money and taken into custody.

CCTV footage shows the man entering the bin and police finding him 40 minutes later.

He was charged with robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon at Penrith Police Station.

He was refused bail at Penrith Local Court today.
